WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) …
This position will provide individual, family and group psychotherapy to children and adolescents. Collaborating with school personnel in four school districts in Newport County, services are provided in a school-based setting during the academic year, and in the office when school is not in session.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide group, individual and family therapy.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments including initial intakes and on-going reassessments.
- Work side by side with service recipients to create person-centered recovery plans.
- Provide clinical consultation and guidance to Bachelor level case management staff.
- Complete all agency documentation utilizing a collaborative documentation approach.
- Participate in crisis response services as part of a clinical team.
- Risk assessment for individuals who present in crisis.
- Crisis intervention, stabilization, and counseling.
- Assessment for emergency hospitalization.
- Serve as a client advocate with appropriate and timely referrals to other agencies; provide consultation and follow-up communication with law enforcement agencies, community agencies, schools, medical facilities, and inpatient units.
- Actively participate in team communication processes that ensure appropriate services and outcomes.
