Summary

Provides school-based therapy, assessments, and crisis intervention for at-risk children in Evansville, IN, maintaining clinical records and coordinating with schools and agencies.

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time School-Based Therapist to add to our team of professionals. This position will work in our Child & Family Services Division and provide school-based assessments, therapy and other services to children and their families.

$3,000 Sign-On BONUS offered for this position!!! ($1,500 after 90 days / $1,500 after 6 months of full-time employment)

Please note that the candidate selected for this role may choose between a 10-month or 12-month position. For 10-month employees, the work schedule aligns with the school calendar (August 1 – May 31). Employees are expected to return for the next school year.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • This position is year-round.
  • Provide individual, family and group therapy to children identified to be at-risk by their school.
  • Provide clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment services in a school setting.
  • Maintain appropriate records of services to reflect patient progress and document treatment plans and goals.
  • Maintain documentation and submit reports according to established time frames.
  • Communicate professionally, make referrals and coordinate services with community agencies.
  • Conduct consultation and education activities to community and professional groups as needed.
  • Maintain contact with other service providers, community agencies, schools, and civic organizations to enhance community awareness and public relations.
