School Food Service Worker

We are seeking dependable, friendly, and motivated Part-Time School Food Service Worker to join our school food service team. This position helps provide students with nutritious meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming cafeteria environment.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, works well with others, and takes pride in providing quality meals and excellent service to students and staff.

Schedule

• Part-time position, typically 4 hours per day
• Day shift
• School-based work schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping ingredients and assembling meals.
• Prepare pizzas by assembling dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings according to recipes and portion standards.
• Operate ovens and other kitchen equipment safely to bake pizzas and other menu items.
• Follow established recipes, menus, and food production guidelines.
• Serve pizza and other meals to students in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and perform cashier duties.
• Stock, organize, and rotate food and supplies.
• Monitor food quality, temperatures, and portion sizes in accordance with food safety procedures.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment, workstations, and serving areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and cafeteria.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with cafeteria staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and food preparation instructions.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Previous food service or pizza preparation experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to obtain required documentation and clearances to work in a school setting.
