We are seeking dependable, friendly, and motivated Part-Time School Food Service Workers to join our school food service team. This position helps provide students with nutritious meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming cafeteria environment.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, works well with others, and takes pride in providing excellent service to students and staff.
Schedule
- Part-time position, typically 4 hours per day
- Day shift
- School-based work schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping ingredients and assembling meals.
- Serve meals to students in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and perform cashier duties.
- Stock, organize, and rotate food and supplies.
- Wash dishes and clean kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with cafeteria staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills preferred.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Previous food service experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to obtain required documentation and clearances to work in a school setting.
This position is part of a union school district. Wages, benefits, and other employment terms are subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement, where applicable.
