School Food Service Worker

We are seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, and team-oriented Part-Time School Food Service Worker to help provide students with a positive dining experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with others, and contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming cafeteria.

The position typically offers approximately four hours per day in a supportive team environment. It provides an excellent opportunity to gain food service experience and develop skills for future advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping ingredients, assembling meals, and preparing items for service.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash and other register transactions.
• Serve students in a friendly, courteous, and efficient manner.
• Stock, organize, and rotate food items and supplies to maintain freshness and proper inventory.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
• Work collaboratively with cafeteria staff to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately are preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn new tasks.
• Previous food service experience is a plus but is not required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required documentation and clearances to work in a school setting.
