SUMMARY:
The Consultant, School Nursing directly reports to the Director, Special Education and Student Services and will primarily be responsible to lead, direct, advocate, and oversee the operations associated with services provided related to school nursing. The Consultant, School Nursing, will collaborate with other Agency staff to develop and provide professional development to partnering school nurses as well as be an ongoing resource to them.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Direct Product/Service Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultant on school nursing services and activities for CESA 6 alternative schools.
- Communicate with and respond to partnering school districts and school nurses in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
- Represent the Agency and school districts to DPI pertaining to School Nursing.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Take responsibility for professional growth based on feedback, research and best practice.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
