Job Title: Technologist (Part-Time) – Acting for Stage and Screen

Status: Temporary Part-Time
Assignment dates: September 8 – December 18, 2026
Hours Per Week: Up to 24 hours
Pay Rate: $19.22/hour + 6% vacation pay

Qualifications:
Two (2) year Diploma with a focus on Acting for Stage and Screen
Familiarity with filming and editing for actor’s digital reels and scene work
Experience in operating theatrical lighting and sound for production purposes
Training in basic hand to hand stage combat
Strong knowledge of networks and computers, broadcast, and digital film technologies
Background as a professional film/theatre actor is an asset
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
Ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff
Responsibilities:
Facilitate filming, replay, and editing of reels.
Demonstrate fight techniques, populate visual aids and guides to various techniques, as well as resources for Faculty to draw on for any particular skill that requires additional information and/or support which varies cohort to cohort.
Provide Technical operation in G107 with lights and sound
Assist with all aspects of the Production for Theatre Canadore, from creation of the set to setup, to rehearsals, to execution and tear down
