School of Engineering - Lecturer (Defence and Security Management)

[What you will be working on]

• Facilitate student learning, develop curriculum and participate in development projects in design thinking, user experience, circuit and industrial design, hardware interfacing and prototyping development, computer programming.
• Develop and conduct Continuing Education and Training (CET) lessons.
• Selected candidates are also expected to take part in R&D/Implementation projects and provide consultancy services to the industry.
• Duties also include mentoring students, supervising student final year projects, soliciting and supervising student internship and reaching out to various stakeholders such as secondary school students, teachers, parents and universities.

[What we are looking for]

• Qualification in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Systems, or related disciplines) with exposure to Project Management, Security Systems, or Business Operations.
• Relevant working experience in engineering preferably related to defence/security operations, or facilities management, with added advantage in business-related functions such as HR, organizational development, or resource planning.
• Strong industry linkages in defence, security, or engineering sectors.
• Genuine interest and passion to share knowledge and interact with youths.
• Possess sound planning, organising and multi-tasking skills, with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility for completing assigned tasks on time.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
