Science Lab Technician #Wellington

Hours: Mon–Tue 7:30am–4:00pm; Wed–Fri 7:30am–2:30pm

Key Roles

• Prepare and set up materials/apparatus for science experiments

• Assist teachers during practical sessions

• Prepare and organise STEM materials/equipment for lessons and activities

• Assist in facilitating STEM lessons and hands-on activities

• Clean, clear, and reset the laboratory after each experiment

• Check and monitor materials stock levels regularly

• Procure and source materials to replace items; maintain breakage records

• Handle preparation/procurement for experiments, Performance Tasks, enrichment, and workshops

• Conduct stock-taking of science equipment and apparatus

• Check lab apparatus and arrange repairs when necessary

• Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of both Science Rooms

• Monitor safe use of lab equipment by students and staff

• Provide administrative support to HOD/Level Head (Science)

• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level Certificate

• Minimally 1.5 years of relevant experience

• Basic computing skills in MS Office (Word & Excel)

• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
