Science Laboratory Assistant

Job Description

• Prepare and organise Science teaching and learning resources.
• Assist teachers in setting up experiments and preparing, distributing, and clearing materials.
• Set up and operate ICT and Science equipment, including projectors, iPads, dataloggers, and microscopes.
• Conduct annual inventory and stocktaking of Science resources and equipment.
• Organise, label, and maintain storage areas in Science laboratories and Tinker Space.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in laboratories and Tinke rSpace.
• Assist with Science enrichment activities and school-based events.
• Support the loan, inventory, and stocktaking of Science programme resources.
• Feed and maintain live specimens, including mealworm beetles and stick insects.
• Perform other Science-related duties as assigned by the Authority.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Science Laboratory Assistant or Laboratory Technician.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• A good team player who is organised, adaptable, and able to multitask.
