Science Laboratory Assistant | Hougang

Job Description:

• Manage daily laboratory operations and maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment.
• Prepare, set up, and clear laboratory equipment and materials for practical lessons and experiments.
• Support Science teachers during practical lessons, enrichment programmes, and STEM activities.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and stock records, including annual stocktaking.
• Assist with the procurement of laboratory equipment, apparatus, and consumables.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals while maintaining laboratory safety standards.
• Distribute and manage Science teaching resources and provide administrative support to the Science Department.
• Perform other laboratory-related duties assigned by the HOD/Science or School Leaders.

Requirements:

• Preferably 3 years of working experience inan educational institution providing Science laboratory assistance.
• A minimum of GCE O-Level qualification witha pass in at least one Science subject, or an equivalent combination ofeducation and work experience. Candidates with a qualification in a Science orScience-related field is preferred.
• Able to workindependently as a Science laboratory assistant, preferably in an educationalinstitution, demonstrating proficiency in laboratory equipment handling, safetyprocedures, inventory management, and basic IT skills for record-keeping.
