Scientific Service Engineer
Role Summary
This role is responsible for providing technical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support for advanced scientific and analytical instruments across research, manufacturing, and high-tech industries.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Service & Field Support: Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, validation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for scientific analytical instruments.
Regional Travel: Travel overseas and locally to customer sites across the region to conduct service assignments.
Quotation & Commercial Support: Prepare service quotations for repairs, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and labor, while identifying service business opportunities (e.g., maintenance contracts, upgrades).
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate service reports and documentation in line with company/customer quality standards and safety regulations.
Technical Liaison & Training: Liaise with global manufacturing factories to resolve complex technical issues and deliver operational training to end users, lab personnel, and distributors.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation/Controls, or equivalent.
At least 2 years of service experience; training is provided, and fresh graduates are welcome.
Experience with scientific/analytical instruments (e.g., Particle Size Analyzers, XRF, Spectroscopy, ICP).
Willingness to travel regionally and locally (having own transport is preferred).
Strong troubleshooting skills, safe working habits, and clear service documentation abilities.
