Description

To design, optimize, implement and sustain warehouse and logistics processes at the SPARK site by translating operational requirements into effective workflows, system requirements and standardized working methods. The role analyses operational performance, identifies bottlenecks and root causes, leads defined process-improvement projects, supports BY-WMS enabled operations, and ensures that implemented changes deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy and customer service.

Description:

  • Map, analyse and improve end to end warehouse and logistics processes, including inbound receiving, inspection, put-away, inventory control, replenishment, picking, packing, staging, loading, returns and exception handling
  • Translate operational requirements and customer needs into practical process designs, standardized working methods, procedures and work instructions
  • Conduct workflow analysis, time studies, capacity assessments and root-cause analysis to identify bottlenecks, waste and process constraints
  • Identify, develop and implement site-level process improvements and support the deployment of wider logistics concepts developed by the Supply Chain & Logistics function
  • Evaluate improvement proposals based on operational benefit, feasibility, risk, cost and implementation effort
  • Translate operational issues and improvement requirements into clear business and functional requirements for BY-WMS, TMS and related logistics systems
  • Verify that system processes, controls and exception handling are practical and consistently followed by operational teams
  • Support investigation and resolution of process or system disruptions in coordination with operations, inventory control and IT
  • Monitor improvement benefits against approved baselines and targets, including productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, lead time and service performance
  • Analyse and report process deviations, root causes, corrective actions, implementation progress and benefits achieved against approved targets
  • Present findings, recommended actions and implementation results to site management and relevant operational stakeholders
  • Lead assigned site-level process-improvement projects from problem definition through design, pilot, implementation, stabilization and formal handover to operations
  • Define project scope, objectives, baseline, milestones, action owners, risks, expected benefits and implementation requirements
  • Coordinate improvement activities across inbound, outbound, inventory, quality, logistics, IT and other relevant functions
  • Develop implementation and change plans for new or modified processes
  • Develop and deliver process training, operational instructions and refresher training for new and existing employees affected by process changes
  • Establish process controls, audit criteria and performance measures before handover
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to confirm adoption, performance and sustainability
  • Correct implementation gaps and ensure procedures and work instructions remain current
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices to increase productivity, operational control and efficiency
  • Implement relevant Supply Chain & Logistics policies, processes, procedures and instructions so work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Ensure process changes and documentation remain aligned with applicable safety, quality and operational requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from a recognized and accredited university
  • A degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics may be considered when supported by relevant warehouse, process-improvement and WMS experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous-improvement certification is preferred
  • Relevant project-management, data-analytics or warehouse-management-system training is an advantage
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English & Arabic
  • Strong logical and structured problem-solving capability, with practical understanding of warehouse and transport operations, process engineering, continuous improvement, operational excellence and WMS-enabled environments
  • Knowledge of process mapping, root-cause analysis, SIPOC, value-stream mapping, KPI development, advanced Excel, Power BI, SOP and work-instruction development, UAT and operational-readiness support is required; basic SQL knowledge is an advantage
  • Must be able to analyse operational problems, develop practical solutions, translate findings into clear business cases and recommendations, influence stakeholders, and explain operational and technical requirements effectively to both operational teams and senior management
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in warehouse or transport process improvement, operational engineering or continuous improvement
  • Practical experience in warehouse and transport operations, process engineering, continuous improvement, operational excellence, WMS-enabled environments and cross-functional project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse operational problems, develop practical solutions, influence stakeholders and present recommendations to both operational teams and senior management
