Scrap Procurement Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrap
Procurement Manager to join our new scrap yard venture. In this role, you will
play a crucial part in securing a reliable and cost-effective supply of ferrous scrap
to fuel our steel production. You will be responsible for developing and managing
relationships with scrap suppliers, negotiating competitive prices, and ensuring
the timely delivery of high-quality scrap materials.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute scrap procurement strategies to meet the company's needs.
  • Identify and establish relationships with reliable scrap suppliers.
  • Negotiate scrap prices and contracts, ensuring competitive terms.
  • Assess scrap quality and ensure it meets the company's specifications.
  • Manage scrap logistics, including transportation and delivery.
  • Enhance purchase channel of scrap.Stay up-to-date about scrap trade regulation in terms of export & import.
  • Settle complaints related to scrap trading if any from suppliers.
  • Stay informed about market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of scrap purchases and supplier information.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in scrap metal procurement or a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of scrap metal grades, quality standards, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
