About the Role:
The scribe increases the efficiency and productivity of the admitting clinician they are supporting by effectively entering the OASIS into the electronic medical record as the admitting clinician dictates the data.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.
- Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
- Maintain knowledge of all applicable local, State and federal regulations governing health records.
- Enter the admission, resumption, and recertification into the electronic medical record.
- Communicate with new patients and/or family via telephone
- Actively participate in the agency’s quality assurance and performance improvement program.
- Supports the development of the plan of treatment, revising as necessary.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
