Scrum Master
Summary
Facilitate Scrum events and coach teams on Agile/SAFe using Jira and Confluence to drive continuous improvement and remove impediments in a scaled environment.
Job Responsibility:
- Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure these events are productive, time-boxed, and focused on outcomes.
- Coach Agile Practices: Mentor Scrum Teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles and best practices. Promote continuous learning and Agile maturity across the organization.
- Remove Impediments: Actively identify and eliminate blockers that hinder team progress. Collaborate with other teams or departments to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Foster Team Collaboration & Self-Organization: Encourage ownership, accountability, and a culture of trust within the team. Support team dynamics and help resolve conflicts constructively.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Use metrics and feedback to identify areas for improvement. Facilitate retrospectives that lead to actionable outcomes and track progress over time.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure transparency of team progress through information radiators (e.g., burn-down charts, dashboards). Align team deliverables with business goals and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Support Agile Transformation: Contribute to organizational Agile adoption and scaling efforts (e.g., SAFe). Act as a change agent promoting Agile values across departments.
- Risk & Dependency Management: Help teams identify risks early and manage dependencies with other teams or external partners.
Requirements
Required skills:
- SCRUM Master role experience in Scaled Agile Delivery
- Effective communication, mastering the English language and listening skills.
- Servant Leadership and ownership, past leadership achievements.
- Mastery of Jira and Confluence tools.
- Advanced Facilitation & Coaching Skills
- Any Scrum certification with Safe certification mandatory.
Other skills:
- Deep Agile & Scrum Knowledge: Ability to tailor practices to context, not just follow Scrum by the book. Certifications like PSM II/III or CSP-SM are a plus.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Strong communication skills, ability to influence without authority, and experience managing expectations across departments.
- Metrics-Driven Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, cycle time, team health), and a track record of using them to foster growth
