Scrum Master (DevSecOps Background)

Hybrid work: 2 days/week from the Client's office in Wrocław
Rate: 180–200 PLN net/hour

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support a global AppSec Platform team operating in a highly technical DevSecOps environment.

This role is primarily focused on agile leadership, team facilitation, coaching, and delivery excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of working with distributed engineering teams and is passionate about enabling collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-performing team dynamics.

In addition to Scrum Master expertise, you should have a solid technical understanding of modern software engineering practices, particularly within DevSecOps, cloud, platform engineering, and application security domains, allowing you to effectively collaborate with engineers and technical stakeholders.

Tasks

Agile Leadership & Team Facilitation

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives

• Support PI Planning activities and broader agile planning processes

• Coach team members, stakeholders, and leadership on agile principles and continuous improvement practices

• Foster a collaborative, transparent, and psychologically safe team culture

• Identify and help remove impediments affecting team effectiveness and delivery

• Monitor and improve team flow, predictability, and delivery performance

• Work closely with stakeholders to align priorities, expectations, and delivery goals

• Support the continuous evolution of agile ways of working within a global engineering organization

Technical & Domain Collaboration

• Partner with engineers working on application security, DevSecOps, and platform engineering initiatives

• Facilitate discussions around technical topics and help bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Support secure software delivery initiatives and promote DevSecOps practices across teams

• Contribute to improving development workflows, engineering processes, and platform adoption

• Help shape team documentation, ways of working, and operational best practices

Requirements

Essential

• 7+ years of professional experience

• Several years of experience working as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Team Facilitator

• Proven track record of supporting global and distributed engineering teams

• Strong facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management, and communication skills

• Experience leading Scrum ceremonies, PI Planning sessions, and other agile events

• Deep understanding of Scrum methodology and agile delivery practices

• Demonstrated ability to build trust, collaboration, and psychological safety within teams

• Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders

Technical Background

• Good understanding of DevSecOps concepts and secure software delivery practices

• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps

• Understanding of application security concepts including OWASP, SAST, DAST, secrets management, and vulnerability management

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Familiarity with automation, scripting, and software delivery practices

• Ability to confidently discuss technical topics and collaborate with engineering teams

Nice to Have

• Previous hands-on experience in DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Application Security

• Experience with platform engineering teams or internal developer platforms

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native technologies

• Experience with security tooling, compliance automation, and developer security platforms

• Scrum certifications such as PSM, CSM, or equivalent

• Experience working in large enterprise environments

You are an experienced Scrum Master who thrives in technical environments. While you may not be a hands-on DevSecOps engineer today, you understand modern engineering practices well enough to engage in technical discussions, support engineering teams effectively, and facilitate collaboration across complex global organizations.
