Overview

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support one or more Agile teams within an international banking environment. The consultant will be responsible for facilitating Scrum practices, improving team performance, removing impediments, and promoting Agile principles and continuous improvement across the organization. The current environment operates under Scrum and is progressively evolving towards Agile at Scale (SAFe). Previous SAFe experience is not mandatory; however, candidates should demonstrate an interest in learning and growing within scaled Agile frameworks.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a servant leader for one or more Scrum teams.

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:

    • Sprint Planning

    • Daily Scrum

    • Sprint Reviews

    • Sprint Retrospectives

  • Coach teams on Agile values, Scrum principles, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Identify, track, and help remove delivery impediments.

  • Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritization activities.

  • Promote transparency through Agile metrics and reporting dashboards.

  • Collaborate with IT teams, Solution teams, and Business stakeholders.

  • Support project delivery and coordination activities when required.

  • Ensure alignment with organizational standards and Agile tooling.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master within Agile environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Scrum framework and Agile principles.

  • Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and coaching Agile teams.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience working with Jira.

  • Ability to work within structured, delivery-focused IT organizations.

  • English level C1 or above.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Agile at Scale or SAFe concepts.

  • Scrum certifications such as:

    • PSM

    • CSM

    • Equivalent Agile certifications

  • Experience with SonarQube.

  • Interest in evolving towards larger-scale Agile coordination roles.

Other Details

Location: Lisbon, Portugal. Occasional travel to Switzerland (Lausanne / Geneva) may be required. Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00. On-call Support is not required and the role is available for an immediate start.
