Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Agile and Scrum ceremonies across our delivery teams
  • Lead the derivation and analysis of existing system requirements
  • Drive the creation and management of user stories and product backlogs
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities
  • Support planning activities across multiple workstreams
  • Lead and mentor teams of analysts and delivery professionals
  • Help establish scalable and sustainable Agile delivery practices
  • Collaborate with engineering teams during analysis, design, build and testing phases
  • Support the adoption of SRE best practices, automation and modern engineering approaches
  • Contribute to initiatives exploring GenAI capabilities, including legacy code analysis and code conversion

We are offering an exciting 6-month initial contract opportunity for an experienced Scrum Master to join a major Tax Administration Modernisation Programme based in Telford, with 2 days onsite per week. This is a PAYE-only role requiring BPSS clearance, with a rate of up to £500 per day. We are driving a large-scale transformation to modernise a critical legacy platform, disaggregate an existing solution, and shape a new modern technical platform. You will work closely with analysts, engineers and stakeholders to establish robust delivery processes and help build a sustainable capability for future development and support. The programme is expected to run for several years, giving you the chance to contribute to a high-profile and impactful modernisation initiative.
