Position: Scrum Master
Location: Porto - Hybrid
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to join Transformation Team. In this role, the consultant will be instrumental in guiding the teams through a complex environment. The consultant will leverage your expertise in Agile methodologies to foster collaboration, enhance productivity, and drive continuous improvement across the team.
As a Senior Scrum Master, the consultant will work in an international environment, collaborating with team members based in both Paris and Porto. Your leadership will empower the teams to deliver high-quality results while adhering to Agile principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Daily Scrum, Sprint Plannings, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement among team members.
- Coach the team on Agile methodologies, helping them to understand and implement best practices to optimize their workflows and enhance productivity.
- Act as a servant leader, removing impediments that may hinder the team's progress and fostering an environment of trust and open communication.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure a well-defined and prioritized product backlog that meets business needs and aligns with project goals.
- Monitor and report on team performance metrics, facilitating discussions around improvements and adjustments to enhance team efficiency.
- Work with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders to align project goals and share best practices across teams in different locations.
- Support the team in defining and achieving their goals while encouraging self-organization and accountability.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project timelines or deliverables, and proactively communicate these to stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and learning within the team.
- Keep your team leader updated on the updates of the projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)) is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a proven track record of managing Agile teams in the software development field, preferably within the payments or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, frameworks, and practices, with hands-on experience applying them in complex environments.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence and motivate team members effectively.
- Experience working in an international environment and ability to manage virtual teams across different time zones.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate complex challenges while maintaining a focus on team success.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello) is a plus.
- Good level of English - minimum B2 (mandatory);
- Availability to come to the office 2 days per week (flexible);
- Availability to travel abroad for short periods of time, if required.
