About the Role
We are looking for a Scrum Master to support one or more agile development teams in El Salvador. This is role ideal for someone who understands Agile/Scrum fundamentals (through certification, coursework, or early hands-on exposure). You will work closely with a senior Scrum Master or Agile Coach while gradually taking ownership of your own team’s ceremonies and delivery flow.

This is role ideal for someone who understands Agile/Scrum fundamentals (through certification, coursework, or early hands-on exposure). You will work closely with a senior Scrum Master or Agile Coach while gradually taking ownership of your own team’s ceremonies and delivery flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospectives.
- Help the team maintain and update the sprint backlog, burndown/burnup charts, and other agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, etc.).
- Support the Product Owner in backlog refinement sessions.
- Identify and help remove impediments blocking the team’s progress, escalating when needed.
- Promote Agile/Scrum values, principles, and best practices within the team.
- Track and communicate sprint progress to stakeholders.
- Maintain agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello) to ensure boards and reports are accurate and up to date.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and continuous-improvement team culture.
- Assist in coordinating cross-team dependencies when applicable.
- Continuously learn and apply agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe basics) under mentorship.
- 1–4 years of experience in a Scrum Master, coordinator, or related support role (internships or academic project experience considered) overseeing multiple projects.
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Scrum Master certification (or in progress) such as CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), PSM I (Professional Scrum Master I), or equivalent — preferred, not always mandatory.
- Strong communication skills in English (B2 or higher) and Spanish.
- Familiarity with agile project management tools (Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed (Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field) — or equivalent practical experience.
- Exposure to Kanban or SAFe concepts.
- Experience supporting technical/software development teams.
- Basic knowledge of metrics and reporting (velocity, burndown, lead time).
- Prior participation in agile transformation initiatives.
