Summary

Scrum Master leading agile squads and PI planning for a federal government agency (NDIS), using Jira, Confluence, and SAFe methodology in a hybrid contract role across Australian east-coast states.

Salary: $135 - $155ph (inc-Super) - weekly pay options

  • 12+12 month contract - 37.5hr per week
  • ACT, NSW, QLD or VIC address - Hybrid 3/2dpw
  • Baseline security clearance minimum - upgrade to NV1
  • Lead agile scrum & PL planning

Our client, an independent Federal Government agency responsible for implementing and administering the National Disability Insurance Scheme, are seeking the experience of a Scrum Master.

  • Lead one or more Squads in an Agile project environment including software development, implementations & other project deliveries;
  • Manage the Squad’s work & backlog including development of reports & burndown charts to track velocity & continually improve team estimations & forecasting;
  • Estimate, size & manage User Stories & the product backlog along with working closely with Business Analysts to formulate User Stories, Acceptance Criteria & the Definition of Done;
  • Engage with the Test function to ensure timely testing & allocation of defect fixes from the backlog;
  • Lead Program Implement (PI) planning activities to map the project end-to-end & ensure delivery of a useable product at the end of every Sprint;
  • Coordinate & leading sprints & retrospective meetings which review the previous sprint & daily scrum stand-ups.

Skills and Experience required

  • At least 3+ years’ experience facilitating the delivery of complex projects using Agile methodologies;
  • A strong understanding of the SAFe methodology & its application within a large & complex Program, preferably within a government context;
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement & teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues to achieve outcomes;
  • Proficiency in using various IT applications & project management tools, including Jira, SharePoint & Confluence;
  • Tertiary qualifications or industry recognised certification in Management, Project Management, or a similar field (desired);
  • Demonstrated work experience managing/delivering large-scale ICT transformation programs / projects in an Australian Government setting (desired);
  • Exposure to technical projects that involved data migrations, large case management or information management systems (desired).
