Speedy Freight is hiring a Scrum Master in Knutsford (hybrid/remote) to keep its engineering team's agile delivery on track — running Scrum ceremonies, removing blockers, tracking DORA metrics in Azure DevOps, and coaching developers alongside Product and Technology leadership.
- Lead all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Keep sprint delivery on track by protecting the team from unnecessary interruptions and scope creep.
- Remove blockers quickly and escalate delivery risks before they impact deadlines.
- Ensure work entering a sprint is ready and completed work meets agreed standards.
- Maintain accurate sprint boards and delivery data within Azure DevOps.
- Track key engineering performance metrics, including DORA metrics, and support delivery reporting.
- Coach developers in agile best practice and help drive continuous improvement across the team.
- Work closely with Product and Technology leaders to ensure smooth sprint planning and delivery.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master within a commercial software development environment.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid agile delivery frameworks.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar delivery management tools.
- Confidence coaching teams and improving agile ways of working.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Scrum Master certification (PSM, CSM, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Experience within logistics, freight, or a fast-paced technology business is a bonus.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management.
- Ability to identify and remove delivery blockers quickly.
- Data-driven approach to improving team performance.
- Calm, organised, and confident under pressure.
