In conjunction with the Distribution Center Director the Pantry Program Specialist is responsible to oversee all aspects of both the UFB Pantry including being a point of contact & resource for the tenants in leased office space. Additionally, maintaining compliance with Feeding America, USDA and UFB standards.
DUTIES:
- Coordinate and oversee pantry locations
- Train, communicate and work with pantry coordinators regarding site issues, concerns and questions, provide written materials and confirm schedules/changes/cancellations
- Troubleshoot pantry issues
- Communicate with transportation and inventory; verify monthly distribution to pantries
- Work with pantry coordinators to ensure pantries run smoothly and that guidelines are being followed between clients, volunteers and staff
- Work with warehouse and inventory to coordinate product distribution by providing numbers served and helping refine amounts of product needed; especially perishable products
- Enter people served and volunteer hours into UFB systems
- Monitor pantry sites in accordance with current UFB guidelines
- Enter all pantry deliveries into UFB systems
- Maximize use of volunteers on a regular basis with pantry program
- Regularly travel between pantry site and Southern Distribution Center
- Inform Director of pantry program issues and concerns
- Participate in conferences, outreach and community representation as assigned by the Director
- Maintain and restock supplies needed for pantry sites
- Intentionally promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to build a positive work culture and environment
- Other duties as assigned
