Software Development Engineer 1 - Backend

Experience: 1-2 years. Work Model: 6 days - Work from Office. Location: Bengaluru. Role: Backend Heavy. Preferred Background: Product Companies / Startups.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer 1 - Backend with strong programming and problem-solving skills to build and improve backend systems in a fast-paced product/startup environment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Go, Python, or similar backend technologies and a strong foundation in backend development, APIs, databases, and data structures.

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs
• Work with Go, Python, or similar backend technologies
• Build reliable and scalable production features
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Work with databases and design efficient data access patterns
• Debug and resolve technical and production issues
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams
• Contribute to improving application performance and reliability
• Take ownership of assigned features from development through deployment

• 1-2 years of software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience in backend development
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or a similar programming language
• Strong problem-solving and coding skills
• Good understanding of Data Structures Algorithms
• Understanding of REST APIs and databases
• Good understanding of backend engineering fundamentals
• Experience building real-world/production applications
• Prior experience in a product-based company or startup preferred
