This is an opportunity for a quality-focused software engineer to help ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of sophisticated web and backend applications.
You will design and maintain automated testing solutions across web applications, APIs, and backend services.
The role combines hands-on test automation with broader involvement across the software development lifecycle.
You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to identify risks and strengthen test coverage.

Accountabilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications using Playwright, Selenium, or comparable automation frameworks.
- Create and maintain API test suites using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools, validating REST APIs, backend services, and data flows.
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Validate application functionality across multiple environments and ensure robust test coverage for critical workflows.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects while partnering closely with developers to drive timely resolution.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, investigate test failures, and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define quality standards, assess risks, and improve release readiness.
- Create and maintain test data, test environments, documentation, and other supporting materials required for validation activities.
- Review application logs, monitor test results, and assist with troubleshooting issues across development and testing environments.
- Communicate testing progress, quality risks, and release recommendations clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to a T-shaped engineering culture by developing strong QA expertise while gaining an understanding of software architecture, design decisions, and the broader development lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in test automation for web and API-based applications.
- Strong programming proficiency in Java or JavaScript, with the ability to develop maintainable automated test solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or similar web automation frameworks.
- Practical experience with API testing and automation tools such as Postman or REST Assured, together with a solid understanding of REST APIs.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle, including testing within CI/CD environments.
- Strong debugging, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and scripting.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered developer tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot and an interest in using them to improve testing productivity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve and continuous learning is expected.
- Willingness to work under a fixed-term contract arrangement and legally eligible to work in India without sponsorship.
