SDET

We are looking for an experienced SDET - API Automation Engineer with a strong background in API testing and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable automation frameworks using Java, REST Assured, and Playwright. Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, or AI-powered testing will be a strong advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust API automation frameworks.
• Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for REST APIs.
• Validate API functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyse test results, identify defects, and work closely with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, testing processes, and framework efficiency.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and modern testing practices to enhance automation productivity and software quality.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Java.
• Hands-on experience with REST Assured for API automation.
• Experience with Playwright for automation testing.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and API validation.
• Experience with Postman, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, TestNG/JUnit, and software testing best practices.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI/Generative AI, LLMs, or AI-assisted software testing.
• Exposure to AI-powered test automation, intelligent test generation, or AI-based quality engineering.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and microservices architecture is a plus.
