SDET - Test Automation & Cloud Migration Testing

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with experience in test automation, API testing, automation framework development, and cloud migration testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright, Java/Python/JavaScript, REST API testing, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation frameworks, validating application functionality, executing regression and integration testing, and ensuring application stability and data integrity during cloud migration activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
• Develop and enhance reusable, scalable test automation frameworks.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Conduct REST API testing to validate endpoints, request/response payloads, error handling, and application integrations.
• Use Java, Python, or JavaScript to develop automation scripts and testing utilities.
• Implement automated test suites using TestNG, PyTest, Cucumber, or BDD frameworks, as applicable.
• Perform SQL-based database testing to validate data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Execute cloud migration and post-migration testing to verify application functionality, connectivity, and data integrity across environments.
• Validate application behavior before and after migration and identify migration-related defects.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Use Git for source code management, version control, and collaboration.
• Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot defects using appropriate defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and improve application quality.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, execution reports, and defect analysis reports.

Required Skills:

• 5-8 years of experience in software testing, test automation, or SDET roles.
• Strong experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience in REST API testing.
• Experience in automation framework development and maintenance.
• Knowledge of TestNG, PyTest, Cucumber, and/or BDD practices.
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Experience in cloud migration testing or validation of cloud-based applications.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in AWS/Azure cloud migration testing or post-migration application validation.
• Knowledge of pre-migration and post-migration test strategies.
• Experience validating enterprise application integrations and API connectivity.
• Familiarity with test execution in multiple environments and release validation.
• Experience with automated regression testing and continuous testing practices.
