Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
As the point of first contact for UR Spider Shop customers this position is responsible for providing customer service, assistance with daily store operations, and cash handling responsibilities. We are looking for hardworking and dependable students to work at our satellite locations at the Robins Center and Robins Stadium. We need individuals with great customer service and a willingness to learn our register system. The games are usually on the weekends and in the evenings, and the shifts last from two to three hours. You will also receive some free swag from the SpiderShop that will be you uniform for each shift. During your shift, we will provide snacks or a meal from the concession stands for you.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Operates point-of-sale system. Accurately rings up sales using a variety of payments; makes correct change; issues receipts
Verifies cash drawers
Organizes daily receipts paperwork (cash deposits and reports)
Complies with all established standards for handling cash, credit, records, and the like. Ensures confidentiality of university and customer records
Processes paperwork and billing, as needed
Able to stand on feet for up to 2 to 3 hours.
Time management and organizational skills

Working knowledge of retail operations environment and point-of-sale systems
General knowledge of cash management principles and procedures; ability to comply with cash/credit compliance standards
General computer knowledge and ability to learn new software
Pay Grade: SP Student 1 (starting rate $12.77/hour)
