Salary: S$3,500–S$5,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and responsible chef who specialises in Indonesian/Malay-style seafood bakar (grilled seafood) and authentic Thai cuisine.

The successful candidate should be confident in preparing a variety of seafood dishes, Thai favourites and sauces, while maintaining excellent food quality and kitchen hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook seafood bakar, including grilled fish, prawns, squid and other seafood.
• Prepare authentic Thai dishes, including Tom Yum, Thai curries, stir-fried dishes and other Thai specialities.
• Prepare marinades, sambal, dipping sauces and signature recipes.
• Develop and maintain consistent food quality, taste and presentation.
• Manage daily kitchen operations, food preparation and stock control.
• Monitor food costs, minimise wastage and maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Work effectively with the kitchen team and manage busy service periods.

Requirements

• Proven experience in seafood bakar and Thai cuisine.
• Able to cook independently and consistently deliver high-quality dishes.
• Knowledge of seafood selection, preparation, grilling techniques and Thai ingredients.
• Responsible, hardworking, organised and able to work under pressure.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Head chef experience and menu development skills will be an advantage.
