Seasonal Concessions Cook

The Downs Racetrack and Casino is hiring temporary/seasonal Concession Stand Cooks for the 2026 Downs Racing Season. This position will pay $13. All shifts are needed!

Concession Stand Cook Job Responsibilities

Cook various food items per menu

Follow proper sanitation guidelines during food preparation and packing

Perform garnishing duties according to customers requirements and instructions

Participate in the set-up of the concession stand

Arrange inventory of supplies and report any shortages

Perform clean-up duties at the end of each shift or as needed

Clean and maintain food preparation equipment such as grills, ovens, food bins etc.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge of kitchen/restaurant sanitation, operation and maintenance of equipment

Maintain food production operational standards

Present a well-groomed appearance

Must be able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays

Must be at least 18 years of age

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to smoke, heat, noise and etc that is typically found in a bar and kitchen environment.
