Brickmans at The Links is the property’s main restaurant, welcoming guests from both The Links and the Lakehouse Hotel. We are seeking a Seasonal Host to be the first and last point of contact for our guests during the holiday season, when the restaurant is at its most festive with winter events and celebrations. In this role, you will provide a warm and cheerful welcome upon arrival and a gracious farewell at departure, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. You will manage guest seating, escort parties to their tables or waiting areas, and engage with guests throughout their visit to ensure their holiday dining experience is smooth, enjoyable, and full of seasonal cheer.

The duties of a seasonal host include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Greet guests as they enter and provide information and directions as needed.

· Possess a good knowledge of the menu, able to provide menus to guests and answer any questions.

· Seat guests at tables or place them on a waitlist.

· Assign guests to preferred tables while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive a fair number of customers. Update the floor chart regularly throughout the shift.

· Clean menus as required throughout the shift.

· Ensure the front door area and waiting lobby are maintained and cleaned inside and out.

· Keep the Host stand clean and stocked with necessary items.

· Engage and provide excellent hospitality and service to the guests to ensure they enjoy their experience.

· Possess good phone hospitality, make reservations, and answer any questions.

· Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed.

· Prior restaurant experience is a plus.

· Must possess an energetic, positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment.

· Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.

· Can perform high quality work while unsupervised.

· Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.

· Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system.

· Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.

· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

· Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business demands.

· Willingly perform other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
