Secondary Pastoral Assistant

Egypt Education Platform is seeking a compassionate and dedicated secondary pastoral assistant to join our team for the academic year 2026-2027. This role is integral to supporting the well-being and personal development of secondary students, fostering a safe and nurturing school environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the pastoral care program by providing guidance and assistance to students with their social, emotional, and academic challenges.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, school counselors, and parents to identify and support students’ individual needs.
• Assist in managing student behavior and promoting positive conduct throughout the school.
• Help organize and facilitate extracurricular activities, workshops, and initiatives that promote student well-being and personal growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student welfare concerns and support interventions.
• Act as a point of contact for students who require pastoral support and liaise with external agencies when necessary.
• Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that respects diversity and encourages student engagement.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in pastoral care and student support.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in student welfare, pastoral care, or related fields is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting young people’s well-being and development.
• Ability to manage confidential information sensitively and professionally.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team and within school policies and procedures.
• Experience or qualification in counseling, education, social work, or psychology is an advantage.
