Secretary to the Chief Financial Officer

Department: Finance

Reports To: Executive Director of Finance

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalency
2. Computer/typing/data entry skills required
3. Operate office equipment
4. Good communication skills
5. Ability to work well in a team environment
7. Ability to handle stressful situations
8. Must pass criminal background check
9. Must pass tuberculosis screening prior to start date

Essential Functions:

• Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with an office.
• Maintain records as necessary for the Executive Director of Finance and the Procurement Officer
• Receives and routes all incoming telephone calls for the Executive Director of Finance
• Process reimbursements and mileage claims for approval by the Executive Director of Finance
• Orders and maintains the office and computer supplies for finance, purchasing, and payroll departments
• Welcomes visitors and arranges for their comfort and screen unexpected callers with the per-determined division procedure
• Schedules meeting and arranges for conference registrations, maintaining calendar for the Executive Director of Finance
• Maintains records and handles claims for student and visitors injuries
• Maintains files for students insurance carriers as well as property and vehicle insurance
• Serves as back up to financial assistant for payroll
• Processes returned checks for payment and submits to solicitor's office
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned

Salary: Secretary/Paraprofessional Salary Scale - Grade 5
