Security Administration and Document Control

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Security Administration/Document Control Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

The Security Administration and Document Control Specialist manages Document Control and program security administration to include personnel and information security functions as needed, and is responsible to the Chief of Security and Program Director. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. This is a five-day a week in the office role in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operate the Directorate/Center document control center providing customer service during 0700-1600, approximately, Mondays through Fridays except Federal holidays.

  • Serve as the focal point for receiving, processing, distributing, dispatching, and controlling all classified documentation entering or leaving the facility.

  • Maintain and operate the SIMS document control database, managing and maintaining inventory logs and records for classified media.

  • Handle TS inventory actions for accountable items, assist with reconciliation of missing holdings, and provide status reports to the customer and security authorities.

  • Administer classified destruction program by preparing, coordinating, and conducting large-scale destruction of classified material.

  • Receive packages from outside agencies (UPS, FedEx, etc.), conduct virus scanning on incoming magnetic media, and distribute per facility standard operating procedures.

  • Check identification of visitors via JPAS/DISS, JADE, or local database, send and receive program visit certifications, and manage visitor logs and Defense Courier Service accounts. Ability to account for all logs, instructions, and equipment at the beginning and end of each scheduled workday.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • 2+ years of related experience

  • Familiarity with the SIMS database and Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) training within six months of starting on contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DOD Manuals and other guiding policy documents.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • High degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervision.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

  • Must have eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.

  • Must demonstrate willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR), which may be extensive and include both air and ground transportation.

  • Person in this position may remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
