Summary
A physical security role (PM shift) at Hotel Drover and its sister Fort Worth Stockyards properties. Day to day the agent patrols interior/exterior grounds, monitors CCTV, alarms and access points, writes incident reports, escorts guests, and responds to emergencies (first aid/CPR if trained). No IT technologies involved.

ROLE SUMMARY: The Security Agent is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, team members, and property across Hotel Drover, Stockyards Hotel, Hyatt Place Fort Worth, and Stockyards Station meeting spaces. This role provides a visible security presence, conducts regular patrols, monitors surveillance systems, and responds promptly to incidents and emergencies. Security Agents embody our core values and play a vital role in delivering Legendary Hospitality while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Patrol property premises, including interior and exterior areas, to ensure the safety of all guests, team members, and visitors.

Monitor surveillance cameras, access points, alarms, and other security systems.

Control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel are admitted.

Document and report all incidents accurately and thoroughly.

Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while interacting with guests and staff.

Enforce hotel policies in a respectful and consistent manner.

Participate in safety drills and emergency response training.

Report maintenance or safety hazards to the appropriate areas.

Respond promptly to guest or team member calls for assistance, emergencies, or disturbances.

Provide escorts for guests or team members when necessary (e.g., to vehicles, rooms).

Identify, record, and correct safety hazards and security risks.

Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.

Assist with accident response, including contacting EMS, providing first aid, or performing CPR if trained.

Support emergency response procedures including fire alarms, evacuations, or medical situations.

Defuse and de-escalate situations with professionalism and calm authority.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive security and property information.

All other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time.

Must be able to run, jog, or move quickly in response to emergencies.

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. independently and more than 75 lbs. with assistance.

Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.

Work may involve exposure to outdoor conditions, uneven/slippery surfaces, and confined spaces.
