Security Analyst

• Triage security incidents and Level 1-2 risks
• Drive vulnerability management and remediation

We're seeking a Security Analyst to support the ongoing uplift of a growing cyber security function. This is a broad and hands-on role where you'll work across vulnerability management, security operations, risk management, and security improvement initiatives to help protect critical technology assets and strengthen the organisation's overall security posture.

Working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, and external partners, you'll be responsible for triaging and investigating Level 1-2 security risks and alerts, coordinating vulnerability remediation activities, supporting security reviews, and contributing to a range of cyber security programmes. You'll gain exposure across the wider security environment, supporting both day-to-day operational security activities and longer-term security uplift initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage, investigate, and respond to Level 1 and Level 2 security alerts, incidents, and risks
• Monitor and analyse security events, identifying potential threats and escalating where required
• Coordinate vulnerability management activities, including identification, prioritisation, remediation tracking, reporting, and validation
• Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, development, and business teams to drive remediation and improve security posture
• Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and threat analysis across applications, infrastructure, cloud services, and technology solutions
• Support security operations activities including monitoring, investigations, incident response, and post-incident reviews
• Assist with the implementation and ongoing improvement of security controls, standards, and processes
• Contribute to cyber security uplift programmes, assurance activities, and risk management initiatives
• Support penetration testing programmes and coordinate remediation outcomes
• Assist with the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures
• Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to help inform security strategy and operational priorities
• Provide reporting and insights across security operations, vulnerabilities, incidents, risks, and overall security performance

About You

• Previous experience as a Security Analyst, Cyber Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, Security Operations Analyst, or similar role
• Experience triaging and responding to Level 1-2 security incidents, alerts, or risks
• Exposure to vulnerability management, remediation, or exposure management activities
• Experience working within security operations, incident response, threat monitoring, or cyber defence environments
• Strong understanding of security controls, cyber risks, and common attack vectors
• Ability to assess and prioritise security risks in a pragmatic and business-focused way
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working across multiple technology teams in complex environments
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, SC-200, SC-300, CISSP, CISM, Azure Security, or similar are highly regarded
