Security Architect
Summary
Designs and implements secure systems for government defense, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and cloud security best practices.
Salary: £85,000 - 85,000 per year
Requirements:- Prior and proven experience gained as a Security Architect or in a technical cyber role.
- Expertise in security legislation (GDPR, PCI DSS, ICO).
- Knowledge of frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls v8).
- Familiarity with HMG/NCSC policies and guidance.
- Experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of microservice architectures.
- Proficient in PKI, cryptography, and privileged access management.
- Relevant certifications: SABSA, TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP, CISM (or working towards CIISEC/UK Cyber Security Council registration).
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
- Provide secure design advice from project discovery through to disposal.
- Ensure solutions align with security standards and architectural patterns.
- Promote Secure by Design principles to reduce information risk.
- Validate security controls and their effectiveness.
- Deliver security architecture for cloud deployments (private/public).
- Design and scope IT Health Checks and interpret outcomes.
- Identify and mitigate security risks in solution architectures.
- Conduct threat modelling and risk analysis.
- Design proportional security controls using native cloud technologies.
