SECURITY CLERK

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a security clerk utilized as an escort for visitors such as: contractors, host-base maintenance personnel, and/or associated repair maintenance as required.

1. Responsible for facilitating entry to the building for all visitors; including (but not limited to) maintenance/services, conferences, meetings, and/or possible Distinguished Visitors (DVs). 2. Instructs visitors on security requirements especially those relating to the necessity of wearing badges 3. Checks the area before entering with uncleared personnel to ensure that classified material is properly protected 4. Answers telephones and receives visitors, giving routine information and referring caller to appropriate staff members for specific information
