Security & Compliance Analyst

Salary: Base salary negotiable + bonus

The role in a nutshell:

• Triage security remediation work by gathering information, assessing risk and business impact, and helping the team prioritise the right actions.
• Monitor and maintain endpoint security tooling, troubleshoot employee requests, and take ownership of processes transitioning in-house from the current MSP.
• Support SIEM activities by maintaining rules and configurations, documenting findings, and helping onboard new systems into the monitoring environment.
• Work closely with Security Operations, IT and Compliance to resolve issues, improve visibility, and communicate security priorities across the business.
• Contribute to compliance, continued-assurance and internal-audit activities by collecting, connecting and presenting relevant information.
• Use AI to support analysis, information gathering, automation and the clear communication of findings, while applying sound judgement to its outputs.
• Tech & tooling: Microsoft Sentinel, SentinelOne, Azure & AWS, Entra, Netskope, Wiz, BitSight, New Relic, Snyk, Atlassian Suite, Azure DevOps, Claude.

To be successful, you will need:

• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with endpoint management, security monitoring and AI tools.
• Experience administering Entra ID.
• The ability to gather technical information, assess business impact, and communicate priorities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Someone curious, collaborative and eager to continue learning as the security landscape evolves.

About our client:
My client, Plexure, is an amazing Saas company founded in NZ in 2010, but that has since expanded to operated globally. They build a customer engagement data platform that integrates with their main customer’s (McDonald’s) mobile app, that they then use to run all of their marketing and loyalty campaigns. Essentially, the backend engine behind McDonald’s mobile app). Plexure are currently working with them in 63 countries and have over 320 million users with them.
They redefine the customer experience and drive results through personalized mobile marketing and next-generation loyalty programs for household names such as McDonald’s. Their industry-leading customer engagement platform has over 300 million users in 65 countries around the globe.
This is a newly created role as they are bringing endpoint security in-house from an MSP, so they need an additional human to help support this work and free up the existing SecOps Engineers to focus on delivery work.
