Job Purpose
Our client in the real estate industry is seeking to hire a Security Coordinator to oversee, coordinate, and lead all security personnel and
technical security systems across their sites. The candidate will be responsible
for protecting the company’s physical assets, employees, and high-net-worth
residents while maintaining a professional environment that aligns with the
brand’s luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Personnel Leadership & Management
- Supervision: Direct
management of all internal security staff and oversight of 3rd-party contracted
security firms.
- Deployment: Create
and manage duty rosters, ensuring 24/7 coverage across all active construction
sites and completed residential projects.
- Training: Conduct
regular training sessions on "Luxury Concierge Security"—teaching
guards how to balance strict enforcement with high-end customer service.
- Performance Audits:
Conduct "red team" drills and unannounced site visits to ensure
guards are alert, professional, and adhering to Post Orders.
2. Security Operations & Strategy
- Access Control:
Develop and enforce strict entry/exit protocols for residents, visitors,
domestic staff, and contractors.
- Risk Assessment:
Perform regular vulnerability assessments for each property to identify gaps in
lighting, fencing, or surveillance.
- Incident
Management: Act as the first point of contact for security breaches, medical
emergencies, or fire alarms. Lead the investigation and provide detailed
incident reports to management.
- Patrol Oversight:
Define patrol routes and ensure guards utilize digital patrol tracking systems
(if applicable).
3. Systems & Technology Management
- Surveillance:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of CCTV systems, ensuring 100% uptime and
proper footage archiving.
- Technical
Maintenance: Coordinate with vendors for the repair and calibration of electric
fences, biometric scanners, automated gates, and alarm systems.
- Command Center:
Manage the central monitoring station, ensuring operators respond to triggers
within seconds.
4. Stakeholder & External Liaison
- Law Enforcement:
Build and maintain professional relationships with the Ghana Police Service and
Ghana National Fire Service for rapid response support.
- Resident Relations:
Address security concerns from homeowners and tenants with diplomacy and speed.
- Executive
Protection: Coordinate security logistics for VIP visits, open houses, or
corporate events.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years in security management,
preferably within the real estate, hospitality, or diplomatic sectors.
- Education: Degree
in Security Management, Criminology, Business Administration, or a related
field. Professional certifications (e.g., ASIS CPP or PSP) are a major plus.
- Soft Skills:
Exceptional "command presence" balanced with the ability to
communicate politely with high-profile clients.
- Discipline: A
background in the military or police service is often preferred, provided there
is a transition to corporate/civilian security standards.
- Response Time:
Average time taken for security to respond to an onsite alert.
- System Uptime:
Percentage of time security hardware (CCTV/Electric Fencing) is fully
operational.
- Compliance: Zero
unauthorized entries into restricted zones or private residences.
- Reporting: Timely
submission of daily, weekly, and monthly security logs.Tech-Savvy: Deep
understanding of modern security tech (IP Cameras, VMS software, and IoT-based
security solutions).
