About The Role

We are hiring a Security Development Engineer to act as a critical reviewer of internally developed systems, with a strong focus on data handling and protection. This role works closely with development teams to challenge how systems manage, expose, and protect sensitive data. You will identify security and data exposure risks that are often missed by automated tools or checklist‑based reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review application designs and data flows with a focus on data exposure risk
  • Challenge assumptions around trust, access, and data movement
  • Identify weaknesses in how applications store, transmit, and protect sensitive data
  • Participate in secure design and code reviews
  • Think creatively about misuse, abuse, and unintended data leakage scenarios
  • Work with engineers to improve designs without slowing delivery

Required Experience & Skills

  • Background in secure software development or application security
  • Strong understanding of data protection principles and access controls
  • Experience working with cloud-based and distributed systems
  • Ability to articulate security risks clearly and constructively
