Position Summary

The Southern California District Manager is responsible for the overall operational performance of approximately 25,000 hours, client satisfaction, employee relations, compliance, and financial results of multiple security sites and district operations throughout Southern California. This position provides leadership and oversight to the site management teams, ensuring all operations are conducted in accordance with company policies, client, contractual requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local laws, including California labor and employment regulations.

The District Manager serves as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and is responsible for maintaining service excellence, employee engagement, and operational efficiency while supporting business growth and retention efforts.

Pay Information:

Salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum based on experience. Twice-monthly pay

Shift Information:

Standard Office Hours - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with a main reporting location in Commerce, CA.

Due to the nature of the role, the District Manager is expected to manage their workload independently and will need to respond to business needs outside of their regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays when operationally necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

Operations Management

  • Ensure that the planned profitability of all services is realized by utilizing sound financial management principles and providing continual reviews and weekly reports concerning unbilled overtime, any staffing issues, any corrective actions required, job profitability, collections, issues encountered, and other items as requested.

  • Monitor operational performance metrics, service, quality, and client satisfaction across assigned locations in Southern California.

  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and operational audits to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations

  • Develop and implement corrective action plans when operational deficiencies are identified

  • Ensure proper maintenance of post orders, training, records, licensing, documentation, and required compliance files

Client Relations and Retention

  • Maintain an active, strong client relations program by making frequent, documented visits to clients to discuss issues (both positive and negative) or recommendations for improvement of services provided

  • Respond to client issues promptly and work to increase satisfaction within the Patrol Solutions clientele. Including creating and providing decision support for action plans in order to retain current business

  • Support sales efforts through upselling and client relationship building

  • Partner with executive leadership teams regarding account retention and growth opportunities

Leadership and Employee Management

  • Supervise, evaluate, and occasionally train a team of 190+ field employees in a multiple-site environment

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to leadership teams

  • Participate in Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and succession planning activities

  • Ensure employee relations matters are addressed promptly and escalated appropriately to Human Resources when necessary

  • Promote a professional, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture, consistent with the company's values, and applicable employment laws

  • Maintain a positive team culture based on accountability, communication, and performance.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, land ocal laws and regulations, including California wage and hour requirements

  • Partner with Human Resources regarding employee investigations, disciplinary actions, leave administration, accommodations, and other employment matters

  • Work with district administrative staff to ensure employees are in compliance with BSIS standards

  • Monitor compliance with company safety programs, Workers Comp, compensation procedures, and injury reporting requirements

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding employee relations, investigations, client matters, and business operation

Financial Management

  • Manage assigned district budgets and financial performance metrics

  • Review labor utilization, overtime trends, and scheduling practices to ensure operational efficiency while maintaining legal compliance

  • Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability and operational effectiveness

  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and expense management activities

Emergency Response

  • Provide leadership support during emergencies, critical incidents, and client escalations
