Security Engineer — Evonaire Inc. Evonaire Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer to help build secure foundations for a next-generation ecosystem spanning AI, infrastructure, governance, and human-centered technology systems. This is a founding-stage role for someone who understands that security is not just defense — it is architecture, trust, resilience, and operational integrity. You will work closely with leadership, engineering, and infrastructure teams to help establish secure systems, policies, workflows, and technical standards from the ground up. The Role The Security Engineer will help design and implement security practices across applications, infrastructure, cloud systems, internal operations, and emerging AI systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building secure environments early rather than retrofitting them later. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying vulnerabilities proactively, and helping create practical, scalable security systems for a growing organization. Responsibilities Design and implement security architecture across platforms and infrastructure Establish secure development and deployment practices Support cloud, network, endpoint, and application security initiatives Conduct vulnerability assessments and security reviews Develop internal security policies, standards, and operational procedures Help implement identity and access management systems Assist with compliance readiness and risk mitigation Collaborate with engineering teams on secure AI and software workflows Monitor and improve incident response and operational resilience Help cultivate a strong internal security culture Ideal Candidate Experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, DevSecOps, infrastructure security, or application security Familiarity with modern cloud environments and secure system architecture Understanding of authentication, encryption, network security, and vulnerability management Ability to balance security with usability and operational practicality Strong systems thinking and problem-solving ability Comfortable working in fast-moving startup environments High integrity, discretion, and operational maturity Bonus: experience with AI security, zero-trust systems, governance frameworks, or security automation Technical Areas of Interest Experience in some of the following is valuable: AWS, Azure, or GCP Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform CI/CD security practices IAM and RBAC systems Endpoint and network security Threat modeling SIEM/logging systems Secure API architecture Penetration testing methodologies AI/LLM security considerations Compensation Founding-stage equity participation Deferred cash compensation until funding or revenue milestones High-impact role with influence over long-term infrastructure and security direction Location Remote-friendly with global collaboration opportunities.
