Security Engineer - Microsoft Security & Cloud

Salary: $150-$180k + super

You'll be joining an organisation at the start of a major technology transformation, where security will play a critical role in shaping what's next. In this role, you'll become its first dedicated Security Engineer. Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll play a pivotal role in building the security capability from the ground up, strengthening cyber maturity and helping shape the future direction of security across the business.

This is a broad, high-impact role where you'll combine hands-on security engineering with architecture, governance and strategic input. You'll work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, AWS and hybrid infrastructure, improving identity, endpoint, cloud and data security while partnering with technical teams to embed security into major technology initiatives.

It's an opportunity to build rather than maintain. You'll establish security standards, mature policies and controls aligned to ISO 27001, drive security awareness, improve operational resilience and help create a security-first culture. As the security function grows, there is a genuine pathway into a future security leadership role.
