Description

Curious about the threats targeting a complex IT environment, and how to stay one step ahead?

As a Security Engineer at Mind Energy, you’ll work hands-on with security across our Microsoft environment, from endpoint protection and identity security to monitoring and threat detection. You’ll investigate suspicious activity, improve detections and help turn security findings into lasting improvements.

Your work will help protect the technology behind energy trading across more than 40 markets. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Technology and Information Security, taking ownership of security investigations and developing the capabilities that keep our environment secure.

DIVE INTO WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS WILL BE

You’ll investigate threats, improve detections and follow security findings through to resolution. As our security roadmap progresses, you’ll also help bring new capabilities into daily operations.

Your mission is to:

  • Operate and tune our Microsoft security tools across endpoint, identity and cloud security, including identity controls such as multi-factor authentication, conditional access and privileged access.

  • Investigate security alerts and incidents alongside our managed detection and response (MDR) partner, providing internal context and supporting containment and resolution.

  • Develop and tune SIEM detection rules, proactively hunt for threats and turn relevant intelligence from the energy sector into actionable detections.

  • Drive vulnerability management by assessing and prioritising findings, coordinating remediation with system owners and verifying that fixes are effective.

  • Review attack paths and exposure in our environment and raise findings that need action.

  • Ensure logs from critical systems support effective monitoring and investigations, while maintaining the runbooks and documentation needed for reliable security operations.

  • Take operational ownership of new security capabilities and contribute to incident response and agreed escalation arrangements.

Your focus will be security operations and engineering. You’ll collaborate with colleagues who own backup and recovery, OT security, compliance, regulatory matters and vendor assessments, bringing your technical expertise into play when relevant security findings arise.

JOIN A TEAM OF MINDFUL ACHIEVERS

You’ll join the Security team within IT Infrastructure, reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure. With a dedicated security roadmap guiding the development of our capabilities, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how new security solutions are introduced, operated and improved over time.

Your colleagues across Core Infrastructure and Platforms, Digital Workplace & Support, and Information Security bring different areas of expertise to the table. You’ll also work closely with our managed detection and response (MDR) partner, sharing insights and turning security findings into practical improvements.

You’ll be part of an environment where people share their knowledge, discuss technical decisions openly and take responsibility for the solutions they work with. Your perspective matters, and you’ll have room to challenge ideas and contribute to how we strengthen security across Mind Energy.

LET'S SWITCH THE FOCUS TO YOU

You’re curious about how attackers think and how security threats develop. You enjoy digging into technical details, understanding what’s happening in an environment and finding ways to strengthen its defences. You take ownership of your work, follow findings through to resolution and share your knowledge so your colleagues can build on it.

We imagine you bring:

  • A background in IT security or a related field, through education or practical experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft security technologies, particularly endpoint protection and identity security.

  • Experience working with SIEM solutions and writing queries in KQL or a similar language.

  • Knowledge of attacker techniques, such as MITRE ATT&CK, and experience turning indicators of compromise into searches and detections.

  • Experience with vulnerability management, from assessing and prioritising findings to verifying remediation.

  • A structured approach to analysing alerts, investigating findings and documenting your work.

  • The ability to communicate technical findings clearly to colleagues with different areas of expertise.

  • Fluency in Danish and English.

Certifications such as SC-200 or SC-500 are an advantage, as is experience from the energy sector or other critical infrastructure.

You enjoy working with people who bring different perspectives, and you’re comfortable asking questions, sharing your reasoning and learning through the technical challenges you solve together.

WE MIGHT BE BIASED, BUT IT IS QUITE AWESOME HERE

People here care about doing things well and creating a place people genuinely enjoy being part of. We like to hack the everyday, from breakfast and lunch made in-house with organic ingredients to in-house massage, something in the freezer when the day runs late and the occasional “Just Because” surprise. You also get five Switch Days, equal to a seventh holiday week, giving you extra flexibility and room to recharge throughout the year.

Through Mind Club, there’s always something to look forward to, from cinema nights and padel to clay pigeon shooting and getting creative with ceramics at Art by Me. We also get together for Christmas ‘hygge’, with a visit from Santa for the little ones.

And with Mind Academy, you grow alongside sharp and curious colleagues who challenge ideas, share knowledge and help each other level up. These are just some of the things that make us special. It’s easier to experience in person.

We’re mindful achievers. It shapes how we work, think and grow together, while recognising that well-being, care and integrity matter just as much as the results we create. This is a place to focus, grow and achieve more.
