Requirements
As a Consultant in the hybrid operate business, you are responsible for adhering to the defined operating procedures and guidelines in operating the security engineering services in the Managed Services model, which includes the following:
- Support day-to-day administration and operations of Wiz.io and Azure cloud security platforms.
- Monitor cloud security posture, security findings, misconfigurations, and policy violations across Azure environments.
- Review and triage cloud security alerts, vulnerabilities, exposure findings, and risk notifications identified through Wiz.
- Assist with onboarding cloud subscriptions, workloads, applications, and resources into cloud security monitoring platforms.
- Support cloud asset visibility, inventory management, and security posture reporting activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud engineering, and application teams to track remediation of identified cloud security issues.
- Perform initial analysis of cloud security findings and assist in prioritizing remediation efforts based on risk and business impact.
- Monitor platform health, integrations, data collection, and cloud security coverage across the environment.
- Support incident management, service request fulfillment, and operational troubleshooting related to cloud security platforms.
- Execute routine platform maintenance, configuration updates, reporting activities, and operational support tasks in accordance with change management procedures.
- Develop operational reports, security dashboards, cloud security metrics, and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on strengthening cloud security posture, visibility, and compliance.
The team
Deloitte’s Security Engineering Managed Services team helps clients operate, monitor, and continuously improve their cybersecurity technologies and security infrastructure. The team supports endpoint security, network security, cloud security, data protection, email security, security automation, and related operational services by applying defined operating procedures, service levels, industry-leading security practices, and continuous improvement principles. Working across a diverse technology ecosystem, the team is responsible for maintaining platform health, responding to incidents and requests, implementing configuration changes, driving operational excellence, and enhancing the organization's overall security posture through proactive monitoring, governance, and engineering support.
Required:
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Cloud Security, Cyber Security Operations, Security Engineering, or Infrastructure Security.
- Basic understanding of Azure cloud services, cloud architecture, and cloud security concepts.
- Familiarity with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) principles and cloud security best practices.
- Knowledge of Azure Identity and Access Management, networking, storage, compute, and security services.
- Understanding of cloud security risks, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and remediation concepts.
- Experience supporting security monitoring, incident management, or operational security activities.
- Ability to analyze security findings and follow established remediation and escalation processes.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, service requests, incidents, and change management processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelors in computer science or other technical fields.
- Exposure to Wiz.io, Microsoft Azure Security Center/Defender for Cloud, or similar CSPM platforms.
- Familiarity with Azure deployments, cloud workload security, and cloud governance concepts.
- Understanding of cloud compliance frameworks and security standards such as NIST, CIS, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
- Experience working with security tools, vulnerability management platforms, or cloud monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation technologies such as PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI is a plus.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft Security Fundamentals (SC-900), or similar certifications preferred.
- Security certifications such as Security+ or equivalent are a plus.
