WHY THIS ROLE IS EXCITING FOR YOU…

• You are responsible for access control, monitor our building via video systems, manage our alarm and emergency call systems, and handle closing duties. In addition, you manage access rights and oversee key management for guests and external partners.

• Based on our operating regulations, you perform numerous security checks. These include, among other things, personnel checks of our employees when entering and leaving the operational area, as well as locker and vehicle checks.

• In the event of alarms, you coordinate external rescue and security services and carry out protective measures. You are also responsible for theft prevention measures. In the event of rule violations, you secure evidence and create reports, observe suspicious persons, and intervene in criminal acts. If necessary, you provide first aid and initiate fire protection measures.

• Furthermore, you secure critical conversations, conduct patrols including reporting, and support service tasks such as creating ID cards for employees or managing lost and found items.

• You take full responsibility for your tasks and continuously expand your knowledge and skills to constantly improve our security processes together as a team.

WE WOULD LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU IF…

• Ideally, you have successfully completed the expert examination according to §34a GewO and have additional qualifications in the areas of first aid and/or fire protection. You also have at least 2 years of professional experience in dealing with people as well as in administrative tasks.

• To fulfill the diverse tasks of the Security Guard, you are characterized by teamwork, a high level of commitment, as well as physical and mental resilience. You are also willing to undergo and successfully complete our internal Zalando training "Zalando Security". Learn about communication basics, prevention techniques, and operational tactics as well as first aid, fire protection, and the handling of our security technology.

• You find it easy to familiarize yourself with new software. You look forward to working with Google Workspace, various apps, and web tools to keep an eye on all processes and document them correctly.

• You have strong communication skills and pass on your knowledge in an understandable, sustainable, and adapted way to the knowledge level of your colleagues. With your good written and spoken German skills, you create error-free reports. Basic English skills at A2 level simplify communication in the team and enable an excellent security service in the shift rotation system.

LOCATION: Lahr

Our employees in logistics ensure that more than 50 million customers in 25 European markets receive smooth and reliable service every day. Today, Zalando has a growing European logistics network with currently twelve locations in seven countries. In Germany alone, thousands of employees from over 100 nations work at several Zalando logistics locations.

The logistics center in Lahr in the Black Forest is the youngest of our German locations. The building with 130,000 square meters of space sets new standards for the industry and combines state-of-the-art infrastructure with intelligent thinking and great team cohesion.

We shipped our first package from the Black Forest location in 2016 and offer jobs for around 2,500 colleagues. In addition to entry-level opportunities in warehouse logistics, we are also looking for interested people in administration and technical departments in Lahr.
