Summary

A Security Infrastructure Engineer (£55k–£60k) working from Jacob's Well, Guildford, securing cloud and on-prem environments on AWS, Azure or GCP. Day to day involves Linux hardening, IAM/SSO/MFA and privileged access, SIEM/EDR and vulnerability management, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs), and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, Ansible, Python or Bash, plus some Docker/Kubernetes.

Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years across infrastructure, security or DevSecOps
  • AWS, Azure or GCP experience
  • Linux administration and system hardening
  • IAM, SSO, MFA and privileged access experience
  • SIEM, EDR and vulnerability management experience
  • TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls and VPNs knowledge
  • Terraform, Ansible, Python or Bash experience
  • Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident investigation skills
  • Experience with ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Benchmarks would be useful
  • CISSP, CCSP or Security+ certifications are a bonus
Responsibilities:
  • Work across a varied infrastructure estate to help keep critical systems secure, resilient and properly maintained
  • Provide hands-on 3rd line support across cloud, Linux, IAM, vulnerability management, SIEM/EDR, patching, hardening and incident response
  • Take part in infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology refreshes
  • Work alongside infrastructure, networking and application engineers
  • Improve how infrastructure is secured and fix problems properly
