Security Infrastructure Engineer
Summary
A Security Infrastructure Engineer (£55k–£60k) working from Jacob's Well, Guildford, securing cloud and on-prem environments on AWS, Azure or GCP. Day to day involves Linux hardening, IAM/SSO/MFA and privileged access, SIEM/EDR and vulnerability management, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs), and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, Ansible, Python or Bash, plus some Docker/Kubernetes.
Salary: £55,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:- 3–5+ years across infrastructure, security or DevSecOps
- AWS, Azure or GCP experience
- Linux administration and system hardening
- IAM, SSO, MFA and privileged access experience
- SIEM, EDR and vulnerability management experience
- TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls and VPNs knowledge
- Terraform, Ansible, Python or Bash experience
- Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes
- Strong troubleshooting and incident investigation skills
- Experience with ISO 27001, NIST or CIS Benchmarks would be useful
- CISSP, CCSP or Security+ certifications are a bonus
- Work across a varied infrastructure estate to help keep critical systems secure, resilient and properly maintained
- Provide hands-on 3rd line support across cloud, Linux, IAM, vulnerability management, SIEM/EDR, patching, hardening and incident response
- Take part in infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology refreshes
- Work alongside infrastructure, networking and application engineers
- Improve how infrastructure is secured and fix problems properly
