Security Manager

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with business operations and technology teams to drive security into current and new capabilities.
• Balance goals with business priorities.
• Support staffing and funding realistically but aggressively.
• Manage and improve controls that secure the information assets for some of the most admired companies in the world.
• Act as an influencer with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Manage building security, including internal badging and security training for all associates, fingerprinting/IRS screening for all new hires and all necessary communications with third party security company.
• Ensure that all security documents are updated, audited and approved by the client to ensure contractual compliance.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree with a relevant major or equivalent experience required.
• A minimum of two years’ experience of leading or working with a team of security professionals to drive security-based outcomes.
• A minimum of two years' hands-on technical expertise in Security Architecture, automation, integration, and deployment.
• A minimum of two years’ experience working with third party security partners for assessment, testing, audit, etc., (NIST, ISO 27000, PCI, HIPPA or CIS controls and benchmarks).
• A solid understanding of risk-based decision making and risk management frameworks.
• Experience working with and communication to senior management.
• Comfortability in speaking with clients and managing external auditors when required.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Strong project management skills and ability to sequence and prioritize complex tasks.
• Previous system administration or network engineering experience a plus.
• IT Security Certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA) a plus.
• Minimum of five years’ experience with information security and data privacy governance preferred.
